Analysis and Design of a New 22 Tapered Finline Array for Spatial Power Combining

摘要: 漸變鰭線陣在空間功率合成放大器中具有重要的應(yīng)用價(jià)值。該文簡(jiǎn)化漸變鰭線陣的模型,將漸變鰭線陣設(shè)計(jì)等效為T(mén)E模式波阻抗的漸變阻抗變換,采用譜域?qū)Ъ{法計(jì)算漸變鰭線陣的傳播常數(shù),依據(jù)小反射理論,提出一種新型基于Hecken形式的緊湊、寬帶漸變鰭線陣。利用高頻仿真軟件HFSS進(jìn)行優(yōu)化仿真設(shè)計(jì),通過(guò)引入槽線微帶過(guò)渡電路,實(shí)際加工了X波段22鰭線陣,背靠背測(cè)試結(jié)果表明:在X波段(8~12 GHz)內(nèi),反射系數(shù)小于-12 dB,插入損耗小于1 dB,實(shí)測(cè)結(jié)果與理論計(jì)算吻合。該文系統(tǒng)地給出漸變鰭線陣設(shè)計(jì)優(yōu)化的理論計(jì)算和仿真方法,對(duì)基于波導(dǎo)內(nèi)空間功率合成模塊設(shè)計(jì)具有指導(dǎo)意義,具有良好的工程應(yīng)用前景。

Abstract: Tapered finline array plays an important role in waveguide-based spatial power combiner. This paper presents a simplified model of tapered finline array by taking it as a tapered TE mode wave impedance transformer. The spectral domain admittance method is applied for deriving the propagation constant. Based on the small reflection theory, a new compact and broadband Hecken finline taper array is proposed. The structure is simulated and optimized by HFSS. By introducing slotline-to-microstrip line transition, the finline array in X-band is manufactured. The back-to-back test results of optimal 22 Hecken finline taper arrays consistent with theoretical values show that the return coefficient is less than -12 dB and the insert loss is less than 1 dB in X-band (8~12 GHz). This paper presents the method of analysis and design of the finline array, and provides a guideline for designing the waveguide-based power combiner. It serves as a promising circuit for power combining. -
