突發(fā)業(yè)務(wù)環(huán)境下CBR業(yè)務(wù)性能的實驗分析
ON THE EXPERIMENT ABOUT QOS OF CBR TRAFFIC IN A BURSTY ENVIRONMENT

摘要: CBR業(yè)務(wù)是一類極為重要的實時業(yè)務(wù),能否有效地傳遞這類業(yè)務(wù)關(guān)系到從現(xiàn)有網(wǎng)絡(luò)向ATM的過渡,因此CBR業(yè)務(wù)的服務(wù)質(zhì)量是一個值得研究的重要課題。本文利用計算機(jī)仿真的方法,全面地分析了突發(fā)業(yè)務(wù)環(huán)境下,影響CBR業(yè)務(wù)服務(wù)質(zhì)量的各種因素,指出復(fù)接器占有率、緩沖區(qū)容量、背景強(qiáng)度、背景流的自相關(guān)特征對CBR業(yè)務(wù)的時延及時延抖動有很大的影響,尤其是背景流具有長時相關(guān)性時,CBR業(yè)務(wù)的服務(wù)質(zhì)量將嚴(yán)重惡化,必須設(shè)法加以控制。

Abstract: CBR is one of the most important kinds of real-time traffic in ATM network. Guarantying the quality of service(QOS) of CBR traffic is crucial to the success of ATM technology. So, analyzing the QOS of the CBR traffic is worth studying. The paper analyzes the QOS of CBR traffic in a bursty enviroment through computer simulation. It is found that multiplexer utilization, buffer capacity, background intensity and autocorrelation property of the background traffic can all make hard effects on the delay and delay jitter of CBR traffic. Especially, when the background traffic exhibits long-range dependence, the QOS of CBR traffic will degrade severely. Some control actions should be taken to minimize the effects of all the factors. -
